Volleyball
Volleyball is a developing sport within the school and is played at a recreational level.  At Battle Abbey Senior School, we have a full sized, outdoor volleyball court which is often used in the summer terms by pupils at their break and lunch times.  Experienced members of staff run the lessons and clubs and often set up ‘social’ games at pupils lunch times or after school.   At the school, volleyball is one of the main sports at the annual interhouse sports day which is a very popular option to take part in to represent pupils houses.
 
 
 
Curriculum
Volleyball is currently a module on offer to Years 9-11 and sixth form
 
Clubs
Volleyball at Battle Abbey is considered as a social sport due to the relaxed, fun atmosphere which makes it a highly inclusive activity for all pupils to take part in, no matter their ability.  At volleyball club, pupils have the chance to learn and develop their skills through fun activities, skill based sessions and conditioned/full sized games.  It is run during the summer term weekly.
