Table tennis
Table tennis is a growing and developing sport within Battle Abbey Senior School and is played at both a recreational and a competitive level. Specialised coaches and highly qualified staff run the lessons and club, which ensures pupils receive a high quality programme of study.
Curriculum
Table tennis is incorporated into the Key Stage 3 curriculum
Clubs and fixtures
Table tennis club at Battle Abbey is highly inclusive and is considered as a social sport due to the relaxed, fun atmosphere yet still remains competitive for pupils who want to challenge themselves and is run during the winter term weekly. At table tennis club, pupils have the choice of playing singles/doubles games or learning/developing skills through fun activities and conditioned games.
In the past, the school has reached the Butterfly National School Team Championship Finals and with the growing popularity of the sport, we hope to look to enter a team in the near future.
