Guardians
Every student whose parents are resident abroad must have a suitable guardian living in the UK. If you are unable to appoint a relative or acquaintance in this country, we suggest the use of a professional guardianship agency and we are happy to provide a list of contacts.

Overseas boarders generally arrive with a guardian already in place, although we can provide prospective parents with details of reputable firms who can provide guardians. This is usually taken care of as part of the application process.

Overseas pupils applying to Battle Abbey School take a Placement Test, which if they are not visiting the school can be done online, with a short telephone interview if necessary, to assess their speaking level.
