Boarding and Accommodation
The boarding accommodation is good and is continually updated and renovated year on year.

We find that the boarders do not spend vast amounts of time in their rooms studying, as the facilities provided for the Senior boarders are excellent. The Sixth Form pupils have two quiet rooms; with full computer access. The Junior boarders also have access to two similarly equipped computer rooms and an additional quiet study area.

Boys and girls enjoy separate boarding  accommodation in the main school building. All girls and boys up to Year 11 are accomdated in the main boarding facility at the Abbey. Boys in years 12 and 13 are accommodated in a seperate boarding house within the Abbey grounds.

The pupils also have access to Matron's Sit. This area contains a video console and board games and is often used by the pupils to sit and chat.

Junior Boarders' Common Room is equipped with a pool table wide screen plasma TV and dart board. The Sixth form pupils have their own common room, which contains a TV with tea and toast making facilities.

The boarding house remains open every weekend of term time. Unfortunately, we cannot provide host families for half term holidays.

The school acknowledges that overseas pupils need to be in contact with home via telephone and email. Therefore all boarding areas have access to a wireless Internet connection. Pupils also have access to a telephone which is operated by phone card. Sixth form pupils have access to a phone in their common room. This phone can be used to receive incoming calls.

During short periods of holiday time pupils can sometimes stay in the school, as long as prior arrangements are made with the Head of Boarding. A charge will apply for this service. Students can stay, if their flight home is a day or two after the end of term or if pupils have revision sessions in the holidays, if arranged with the school.

The school can provide transport to and from the airports at the beginning and end of terms. A charge applies for this service.
